Obama joins progressive Dems in backing Manchin’s voting rights compromise bill

Former President Barack Obama said Monday that he backs Sen. Joe Manchin’s compromise to the For the People Act, a sweeping voting rights bill that the West Virginia Democrat said was too partisan.
