House Democrats block religious liberty amendment to same-sex marriage bill

House Democrats have blocked an amendment offered by Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, that would have added stronger religious liberty protections to the Respect for Marriage Act, a bill that would codify same-sex marriage.
