WHO determines there will be more than 18 million Cancer patients

The World Health Organization’s cancer research team estimated that there will be about 18 million new cases of cancer globally and proportionally around more than 9 million cancer deaths. Lung cancer was said to kill the most amount of people while breast cancer was the largest among women and colorectal cancer.

According to the data from the agency one in five men and one in six women from over 185 countries will develop cancer during their lifetimes. More than half of all cancer deaths will occur in Asian regions where 60% of the world population resides.

Lung cancer is often developed over decades   the biggest reason being smoking. And the agency determines that the decrease in the frequency of the disease occurring will occur with declining smoking which is highly unlikely to be seen for years.
