What is the difference between Diana, Kate & Meghan ?

Though the first televised wedding of the Royal Family was held in 1960s not many choose to speak of it unlike the wedding held in July 1981 where Lady Diana married Prince Charles and attracted over 750 million viewers. Prince Charles and Lady Diana’s wedding was held amid thirty-five hundred guests and she walked down the aisle wearing layers of lace, sequin, pearls and a twenty five foot train with an heirloom tiara. Though the couple divorced in 1996 and Lady Diana Spencer passed away in a horrible car crash a year later her fans have always loved and missed her as she served as a great humanitarian and was lived by her two sons Prince William the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry the Duke of Sussex.

The public never rested on discussing the deeds of Prince William and Prince Harry especially during their weddings. Though Diana was from an aristocratic family her sons married to non-royals also known as commoners. Both Kate Middleton wife of Prince William and Meghan Markle who wed Prince Harry in May 2018 were university educated and both fell into love with their Princes. Though Lady Diana’s daughter-in-laws are philanthropists just like her there are big differences in the three of them. Kate Middleton as mentioned isn’t a royal though her Prince and her studied in the same school, Kate went onto become a Fashion model and Duchess Meghan Markle is a famous actress and serves as an advocate for Women in United Nations. Duchess Catherine dated William for 11 years before marrying him so she was already well adjusted to the life of the Royals unlike Meghan Markle. They say the son marries a woman just like the mother and in that aspect Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle share uncanny resemblances to Lady Diana. Kate Middleton and Lady Diana are very hands on mothers as in they care very deeply for their children and it shows in their gestures as they guide their children through stressful situations where the media always has an eye on them.

Though Kate Middleton’s wedding was sizeably larger than Duke Harry and Duchess Meghan Markle’s wedding theirs was quite a head turner as Meghan was not only the first African American bride to marry into the royal family she was also a divorcee. The wedding was also a huge hit because Meghan’s simplicity and her family roots were reflected in the wedding, the ceremony was led by Pastor who is also an African American. The best part of Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding was the tribute they made to his mother – the couple did not accept gifts instead they requested their friends, family and guests to donate to the list of charities including one which fought against HIV/AIDs a cause that was very important to Lady Diana.
