An 11-year-old called Amberly Barnett from DeKalb County, Alabama was reported missing.
The child was found on March 2, 2019 after being vanished the day before from a relative’s home.
Authorities have withheld the cause of death for further investigation.
Sheriff Nick Welden, said in a brief news conference that “deceased body” of the child was located on March 2, 2019, at around 6:30 a.m.
“We are diligently, diligently pursuing different avenues and Lord willing we will have answers in the coming days. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as we move forward on this tragic event. My heart is shattered on this date. But we will move forward….God bless you all. Please keep this family in your thoughts as we move forward”, Sheriff Nick Welden stated.
MISSING CHILD UPDATE: The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office is providing more information on their search for 11-year-old Amberly Barnett. Her body was found during their search Saturday morning….
Last known whereabouts of Amberly were on Friday. Amberly was seen in Collinsville at her aunt’s home.
