Donald Trump fails to lead when the pandemic deteriorates

Many leaders are seeking to save the U.S. from barricading into catastrophe. Yet Donald Trump has little to say, and has no solutions to avert a tragedy that happens under his watch that he is determined to avoid.

On the day the top infectious disease expert from the country, Anthony Fauci, said he would not be shocked to see the US high of 100,000 new cases of coronavirus a day, Trump declined to crack his deafening silence.

Just the day after his White House characterized record-breaking new pathogens. That are destroying the country as “those that need to be out”. Trump’s campaign took praise for his misguided pandemic leadership’s “phänomenal” performance.

Donald Trump’s Position

Trump is also perhaps the only leading leader of either party — including its main Republican allies — who fails to wear or support face masks that have proved to delay the spread of coronavirus but also stigmatized him as a radical conspiracy to damage him politically.

“We don’t need to have any embarrassment about wearing masks. When we leave our homes and get close to other people. Wearing plain face covers isn’t about defending ourselves. It’s about defending anyone we meet”. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell also said on Monday’s Senate floor.

Yet on Tuesday Trump cryptically tweeted “THE LONE WARRIOR!”. Seemingly endorsing his distance from his political allies and the medical methods. That have proved to delay the spread of coronavirus in the short term at least elsewhere.

Undeterred by the worsening national crisis. Trump is also moving forward with preparations for an early July Fourth celebration at Mount Rushmore. This also will symbolically and conveniently place him alongside four of America’s most respected presidents. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. There will also be no implementation of the social gap Trump’s Administration recommends.
