Mr Javid left no doubt about making tough decisions & necessary of using all his legal powers during his battle in fighting terrorism in order to keep UK safe.
“Those who stayed include some of the most dangerous, including many who supported terrorism. They turned their back on this country to support a group that butchered and beheaded innocent civilians, including British citizens; that tied the arms of homosexuals and threw them off the top of buildings; and that raped countless young girls, boys and women. To keep this country safe, we must be prepared to make tough decisions. There must be consequences for those who back terror”. Mr Javid statement in House of Commons.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Cressida Dick warned MS Begum from returning back to UK as she could be arrested & investigated.
Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Cressida Dick, discusses how the police treat cases where someone from Syria tries to return to the UK, on Good Morning Britain. This was in reference to the ongoing investigation regarding Shamima Begum.
However, chief of counter-terror policing, Sir Mark Rowley suggested to treat Shamima as a victim of grooming when she left 4 years ago.
According to a statement issued by Bangladesh’s ministry of foreign affairs to Guardian, MS Begum has not applied a dual nationality ever. she is British with no Bangladesh passport.
“She is a British citizen by birth and has never applied for dual nationality with Bangladesh. It may also be mentioned that she never visited Bangladesh in the past despite her parental lineage. So, there is no question of her being allowed to enter into Bangladesh”.
Should MS Begum stick with hope & still optimistic?!
Appealing to Special Immigration Appeals Commission is the last hope for Shamima to get her citizenship back, MR Rozenberg reveals.
“There have been cases that have gone through and people have been able to show that they would be entitled to foreign nationality, indeed Bangladeshi nationality. In that case they can’t be deprived of their British citizenship so we can expect a battle to come”.
According to MR Rozenberg, MS Begum’s son is presumably entitled to British citizenship.
“Her baby is in a different position. He’s not entitled to Bangladeshi citizenship, she could register him but obviously she hasn’t done that. So the baby is presumably entitled to come here to the United Kingdom. And if the baby can come, perhaps the mother can come too”.
However, Shamima has another point of view that she might be able to apply for citizenship in Holland as her husband is Dutch & he would move to a prison closer to his home.
Referring that, Shamima, the 19-years-oldschoolgirl was shocked when ITV News Security Editor, Rohit Kachroo showed her the letter of citizenship revoking after meeting her in a camp she lives as s nobody had informed her before the interview.

Shamima Begum said losing UK citizenship is “hard to swallow” as ITV News told her of the Home Office decision. “I’m a bit shocked. It’s a bit unjust on me and my son,” the IS bride said as ITV News Security Editor Rohit Kachroo handed her a copy of the letter at the Syria refugee camp where she is being held.
