Iranian Foreign Ministry responded to US sanctions

He responded to US sanctions against senior military and political officials close to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Abbas Moussawi said:
The sanctions “are hollow and reflect the despair and inability of the US administration to use diplomatic and logical mechanisms.”
As well as, “The new sanctions are unilateral and condemned and useless.”
The foreign ministry spokesman said:
“It comes within the framework of the American arrogance of the rest of the world and the important international issues in the world.”
“Washington’s addiction to unilateral sanctions has made its officials emotional.”
The diplomat pointed out that:
“The US administration is taking the initiative to impose hollow sanctions to alleviate its pain and escape from its failure caused by its inability to the iron will of the Iranian people.”
The United States has announced sanctions against an entity and nine people linked to Iran.
The sanctions announced on the US Treasury website
The US Treasury Department said that:
Washington imposed sanctions on nine people in addition to the General Staff of the Iranian armed forces. On the 40th anniversary of Iran’s seizure of the US embassy in Tehran.
So, the sanctions announced on the US Treasury website targeted Mojtaba Khamenei, the second son of Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.
“Eventually, the measure is aimed at aides to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the Expediency Council. Also, the general staff of the armed forces and the judiciary,” she said.
