Mandatory Evacuation for Hurricane Florence

Hurricane Florence has been under watch past few weeks and it has picked up strength causing the NC department of Emergency Management ordered a mandatory evacuation order for all visitors and residents on Hatteras Islands and will go in to effect on Monday at noon .

Dare County will have to evacuate by Tuesday morning 7 a.m. and so will nearby towns of Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, Manteo; Roanoke Island; and the Dare County mainland.

Hurricane Florence has been growing in strength and said to cause life threatening storm surges to Southeastern North Carolina and Dare County along with heavy rains and tornadoes
