Space X is a rocket that even Elon Musk isn’t 100% sure that they can bring it to flight. Many space engineers think that it seems more of a dream than a reality. Despite all that Elon Musk announced at SpaceX’s headquarters in Hawthorne, California on Tuesday that Mr.Maezawa will be on it.
Mr.Maezawa is excited to go on this trip and hopes to take six to eight artists with him. And after returning to Earth create a masterpieces that will inspire the dreamer within all of us. So far only 24 humans have visited the Moon, 12 of them landing on the moon and all of them being American.
However Maezawa will not land on the moon he will only be travelling on the ” free return trajectory” which will bring the ship back to Earth after it has gone around the far side of the satellite. SpaceX will concentrate on BFR for future crewed missions rather than using the Heavy-lift Falcon Heavy rocket or the crewed version of the existing Dragon capsule.

Prior to the announcement Elon Musk unveiled artist impressions of the BFR that will carry passengers around the Moon. The BFR should be able to lift 150 tonnes into Low-earth orbit – that is more than the US V rockets that lofted the Apollo spacecraft.
